Task Manager is disabled by Administrator

Sometimes due to some virus attack task manager stops working , you will be unable to open the task manager. It show the message " Task Manager is disabled by Administrator ". In this situation how to enable the task manager I am going to discuss because if task manager opens then you can stop a process by which the problem is occurring.
  • Click on Start button and go to Run
  • Type regedit
  • Click Ok. The Registry Editor will now open
  • Browse to the following key:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ CurrentVersion\Policies\system
  • In the right pane, look for the value: DisableTaskMgr
  • Right click DisableTaskMgr and select Delete. (When prompted with "Are you sure you want to delete this value", select Yes.
  • Now browse to the following key:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\policies\system
  • In the right pane, look for the value: DisableTaskMgr
  • Right click DisableTaskMgr and select Delete. (When prompted with "Are you sure you want to delete this value", select Yes.
  • Close the Registry by choosing File | Exit
  • You should now be able to access Task Manager.

When regedit is disabled by a computer virus then first we have to enable the registry editor then you will be able to open task manager. The process for enabling Registry editor is given :
  • Click on Start button and Go to Run.
  • Type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
  • Navigate to User Configuration/ Administrative Templates / System.
  • In the work area, double click on "Prevent Access to registry editing tools".
  • In the popup window, encircle Disabled and click on OK.
  • Normally, Registry Editor will be immediately accessible.
In this way you can enable the Task manager by regedit , when regedit is not opening you can enable this by gpedit.msc
